Veterans Day Parade
This year, American Legion Post 104 was honored to partner with Keystone Country 4-H during the Lycoming County Veterans Parade — and what a meaningful day it was.
We were especially proud to honor Vietnam Veteran & Purple Heart Recipient, CPL Edward E. Souter, Sr. His courage, service, and sacrifice stand as a powerful reminder of why we gather each year.
Throughout the parade, our veterans pointed out fellow Veterans in the crowd, and the Keystone kids stepped forward to greet them with a handshake, a commemorative coin, and a heartfelt “Thank you for your service.” Seeing the next generation honor those who’ve worn the uniform is a moment we will not forget.
To everyone who participated, volunteered, donated, supported, or simply lined the streets with pride — thank you. Your presence helps keep our traditions strong and our veterans appreciated.
As a token of gratitude, all participants received a custom thank-you keychain crafted by Oaks & Dahlias — a small reminder of a day filled with honor and community spirit.
With sincere appreciation,
Doug Rupert
